Each print is individually printed with striking detail that gives shear delight in the overall sensationalism down to the micro details. All that the naked eye can see or want to see, and relish in the grand example of pointillism art. These are “infamous” REX prints and a celebrated part of gay history.
This Print is packaged in a cellophane seal, and shipped in discrete flat safe plain packaging ready to be hung and enjoyed.
Rex is a living American artist and illustrator closely associated with homosexual fetish art of 1970s and 1980s New York and San Fransisco. He avoids photographs and does not discuss his personal life. His drawings influenced gay culture through graphics made for famous nightclubs including the Mineshaft and his influence on artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe. Much censored, he has remained a shadowy figure saying that his drawings “defined who I became” and that there are “no other ‘truths’ out there”.
